On 7/30/2026, I completed the commissioning of an Amana ALXS5BA4210AA HVAC system for Lawrence Wilson. The outdoor condenser was installed level and secure, with all required clearances and shipping materials removed. The coil was inspected for damage, and the fan blade was secure and unobstructed. Electrical disconnect was installed and labeled, and line voltage was within specifications at 244 V. The indoor evaporator coil was properly matched to the condenser, and refrigerant line connections were leak-free. The system operated within manufacturer specifications, with a Delta T of 20°F and a temperature split within specifications. The system was cleaned, and Lawrence was instructed on operation and filter maintenance.
Upon arrival, I found the RTU off, as it was left during my last visit. I began a high-density system renovation, replacing the air movement system bearings for the blower shaft. After installing a new A44 belt, I adjusted the belt tension and left a spare in the cabinet. Following the replacement of parts and filters, I powered up the system to check the blower amps. I adjusted the blower amps on the adjustable pulley to meet manufacturer specifications. The system started successfully, with the blower running smoothly and all electrical voltages and amps within the manufacturer's specifications. The refrigerant charge was verified to be good, running at a DeltaT of 20°F. I ensured the evaporator wasn't freezing and that condensation was occurring. All system operations were confirmed to be running normally. The remaining balance of $1,228.00 was collected via credit card.
