Reliable Riverfront Comfort for Perryville & Cecil County

Situated where the Susquehanna River meets the head of the Chesapeake Bay, Perryville homes occupy a unique "atmospheric zone." The heavy river mist and fluctuating bay breezes mean your HVAC system has to fight twice as hard against humidity and salt-air corrosion. Moon Air serves as the specialized HVAC contractor in Perryville, MD, providing advanced climate solutions for homeowners who want to ground their energy bills and launch their indoor comfort.

Call us at 410-819-2507 or contact us online.

Tactical Moisture Neutralization

In Perryville, humidity isn't just an outdoor problem; it’s an indoor threat. When the river air infiltrates your home, it makes your AC work overtime and can lead to a musty basement environment. Our approach includes:

  • High-Capacity Dehumidification: We integrate industrial-strength moisture scrubbers into your existing ductwork to maintain a crisp, dry environment.

  • Coating Protection: For homes near the water, we provide maintenance that protects your outdoor condenser coils from the corrosive effects of damp, salty air.

The "Air Highway" Restoration Project

Leaky ducts are the leading cause of "comfort failure" in Cecil County. As your dedicated HVAC contractor in Perryville, MD, we utilize Aeroseal Technology. Instead of messy tape, we use an aerosolized sealant that finds every microscopic crack in your vents—even the ones hidden behind your drywall. This ensures the cold air you pay for actually reaches your second-floor bedrooms instead of leaking into the crawlspace.

Precision Heating for Susquehanna Winters

When the winter winds whip across the Hatem Bridge, your furnace needs to be mission-ready. We specialize in:

  • Hybrid Heat Pump Systems: Perfect for Perryville’s climate, these systems switch between electric and gas to find the most efficient way to keep you toasty.

  • Amana Reliability: We install systems with some of the best warranties in the galaxy, ensuring your "thermal shield" never fails when the frost hits.

The Moon Air Human Element

We are a jovial, upbeat crew that understands Perryville values: hard work, honesty, and a neighborly smile. Our technicians don't just "fix boxes"; we are helpful peers who show up on time, wear floor protectors, and provide transparent, flat-rate pricing. Every job is backed by our 100% Money-Back Guarantee. If your system isn’t performing at peak levels, we’ll return to make it right—no questions asked.

Ready to stabilize your home’s atmosphere? Reach out to the Moon Air flight deck at 410-819-2507 and schedule your Perryville rescue today!

"Out of this world service for down to earth prices!"

I conducted a thorough maintenance check on the AC components of an oil furnace. Initially, the Delta T was 18 degrees, but it increased to 19 degrees after running for over five minutes. I replaced the filter and labeled it with the current date. Voltages and amps at the indoor unit were within acceptable limits, with fan motor amps at 5.31 and 5.24. The indoor voltage enhancement system was operating at 9.93 mfd within the 10mfd range. I cleaned the air handler with a suitable cleaner. The outdoor unit was tested in cooling mode, showing 120v on leg one and 121v on leg two, totaling 241v with no voltage loss. The compressor received 120v, and amp readings were 4.24 for start, 5.07 for run, and 4.61 for common. The outdoor voltage enhancement system was at 34mfd and 5mfd within the 35/5mfd range. Unfortunately, the homeowners' hose spout was broken, preventing coil spraying, though minimal debris was observed in the fins.

During the inspection, a fault was identified in the water removal system. Upon further evaluation, a crack in the condensate collector pan was discovered, causing condensate water to leak into the return air box and saturate the air filter. This issue, if left unaddressed, could lead to reduced airflow, water damage, and potential indoor air quality concerns. The condensate collector pan requires replacement to resolve the problem. Currently, the system is operational, but condensate water continues to drip onto the air filter and into the return air box until the repairs are completed.

Upon receiving the task, I began by diagnosing the issue with the STAT system, which was not providing the expected cooling option. After thorough investigation, it was discovered that the STAT unit was unresponsive. Further analysis revealed that the voltage monitor was faulty, preventing the STAT from functioning correctly. I bypassed the problematic voltage monitor to restore functionality. With the STAT system now operational, the cooling option was successfully activated, ensuring the system was back up and running efficiently.

I conducted a thorough rejuvenation of the heat pump system, focusing on optimizing its performance. After testing the cooling mode, it was evident that the system was inefficient, with a Delta T of 9, indicating minimal temperature change. The outdoor unit displayed clear signs of impending failure. Given the unit's age of 36 years, I recommended replacement options. During the site visit, Jason and I reviewed potential replacements to ensure the system's future efficiency and reliability.

I tested the system to confirm all operations were running normally, achieving a 20° delta T. The evaporator was observed to be condensing and draining properly. The unit operated until the thermostat was satisfied. Unfortunately, the homeowner was not present to install the app and learn its usage, so I informed his wife to contact me if he has any questions. The job was completed without any issues.

I conducted a thorough maintenance on the AC components of a gas furnace. The Delta T was 17 degrees initially. The filter was replaced due to clogging with dust and dirt, which had also entered the blower cabinet. Voltages and amps were within acceptable ranges. The condensate removal system functioned correctly, and the condensate line was cleared of debris. The air handler and indoor coil drain pan were cleaned. I recommend blower cleaning and a new pan treatment. The outdoor unit operated in cooling mode without any error codes. The coil was cleaned with a solution to remove clogged fins.

I completed a comprehensive rejuvenation of two AC systems. Both indoor and outdoor units were thoroughly cleaned and tested. Repair recommendations were provided for all units. The voltage enhancement systems were out of range, impacting efficiency and potentially causing future issues, but this has been resolved. Surface rust was detected on the primary drain pan in the attic, though safety switches are in place. A deep cleaning of the indoor air circulation system was also performed. Four repairs were made, ensuring cost savings and preventing future service calls.
