Upon inspection, I identified condensation at the lineset connections, which can lead to efficiency issues and potential damage. I carefully removed the foam insulation and examined the joints and seams. After cleaning the area, I applied a high-quality foam sealant to ensure a tight, leak-proof seal. I then reinstalled the covers, making sure they were securely fastened. Finally, I recaulked the joints around the unit covers to prevent any future moisture infiltration, ensuring the system operates efficiently and reliably.

I completed the commissioning and operational verification of a newly installed HVAC system. The furnace operates on natural gas with a line voltage of 120V, achieving an external static pressure of 0.55 in. w.c. High fire gas manifold pressure is 3.5 in. w.c., and the supply air temperature is 132°F. Low fire settings show a gas manifold pressure of 1.9 in. w.c. and a supply air temperature of 125°F, with a temperature split delta T of 20°F. The condensing unit operates on 242V, with resistance readings of R2/C at 0.8 Ohms, R2/S at 2.3 Ohms, and S2/C at 1.4 Ohms. The refrigerant pumping system is rated at 13.4 Amps but measured at 8.5 Amps, with an LRA of 83.3 Amps (actual 88.2 Amps). The system is functioning as intended. A return visit is required to install remaining clips and fasteners, and to straighten and secure the refrigerant piping.

I conducted a thorough cleaning and inspection of the air conditioning system, focusing on both the indoor and outdoor units. The evaporator and condenser coils, along with the unit cabinets, were cleaned to ensure optimal airflow and heat transfer efficiency. All high- and low-voltage wiring and electrical connections were inspected and found to be secure with no visible defects. The condensate drains and safety controls were tested and verified to be functioning correctly. The system was operated and tested in both cooling and heating modes, with all components performing within normal specifications. However, the UV system requires a new bulb, and I will return to complete the repair once the part arrives.

During the service, I conducted a thorough rejuvenation of the club's system. The system was meticulously cleaned and tested to ensure optimal performance. Although the system is aging, it continues to operate efficiently. However, noticeable rust on the indoor coil, a common area for refrigerant leaks, was observed. Apart from this, no other significant issues were found. The customer requested a follow-up visit from a Field Supervisor, preferably Steve, to discuss potential replacement options for the unit. Due to the late hour, the customer was unable to meet today.

Upon inspection, the air conditioning system was not cooling effectively. The indoor coil was found to be freezing, indicating a potential issue. The outdoor unit was cycling on and off every 30-40 seconds, which was caused by the low-pressure switch opening and closing. I thoroughly examined all joints and connections but did not find any visible signs of a leak. To ensure a comprehensive evaluation, a more detailed leak search will be necessary. Once the leak is located, the appropriate repairs will be made to restore the system's functionality and efficiency.

Upon arrival, the AC was set to 74°F and functioning well, but the customer was concerned about humidity. The system includes a UV light and a continuously running fan for air circulation and treatment. The furnace, located near a condensing water heater, French drain, humidifier, and HVAC system, was pulling in basement air, resulting in 72% humidity. I sealed the return grills with metal tape to prevent basement air from entering. I quoted $1,292 to upgrade the thermostat for dehumidification, pending thermostat order.

Today, I completed a comprehensive rejuvenation of a heat pump system. The process began with a thorough cleaning of both the indoor and outdoor units. Following the cleaning, I tested the system in cooling mode to ensure all components were functioning correctly. Although the system is operational, it is not performing efficiently, particularly in terms of supply temperatures. The outdoor unit exhibits signs of impending failure, yet it remains functional. Amperage tests revealed that the unit is drawing significantly less current than rated, indicating it is underperforming. Secondary electronics were found to be within acceptable parameters, and no immediate repairs are recommended. Steve Podesta joined me on-site to discuss potential replacement options and explore warranty coverage.

I performed a comprehensive maintenance check on the AC components of a gas furnace. The initial Delta T was 15, and I replaced the filter, labeling it with the current date. Voltages and amps were confirmed to be within acceptable ranges. The interior of the air handler was thoroughly cleaned. Although I couldn't inspect the heat exchanger with my camera, I conducted a level one blower cleaning. The outdoor unit operated in cooling mode, with voltages and amps also within range. However, the voltage enhancement system was out of range, reading 36mfd instead of the rated 40mfd +-5%. I recommend replacing this system. The coil was sprayed with water to remove trapped debris from the fins.

So to the good from a customer service representative experience. After the issues experienced with the first technician I called in and spoke to the service coordinator who within an hour had a service manager on his way to correct the problems of the 1st technician. Paul came out went through the system and completed what we needed as far as cleaning and tune up. Paul took the time to test everything and even discuss questions regarding filter sizes and efficiency questions. Paul resolved what started the day with an absolute negative experience and restored our faith in Moon Air to do the right thing and do the job right.

Greg came out as scheduled. Beyond that the entire experience was less than desirable. He serviced the wrong unit and when it was brought to his attention that he was servicing the wrong unit he made it appear as though he corrected the error and cleaned the correct unit. Technician left with the burner and heater still running with notes stating the thermostat relay needed replaced and notes of needs for the unit we do not use nor have ever had serviced. Sadly this was not a good experience at all.
